The Ville Platte Police Department reported five arrests recently.

Arrested were the following:

•Birdie Edwards, 53, 611 18th St., Lake Charles, was charged February 27, with no reflective gear and restraints arrest. At press time, no bond information was available.

•Vanessa Griffin, 44, 1222 Edward Knotoe St., Ville Platte, was charged February 23, with no reflective gear. At press time, no bond information was available.

•Callon Arvie, 65, 410 S.E. Railroad, Ville Platte, was charged February 22, with hit and run. Arvie was released on a $300 bond.

•Shaquille Freeman, 17, 316 Harvey LeBas Drive, Ville Platte, was charged February 22, with no reflective gear and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Freeman was released on a $500 bond.

•Eric Bushnell, no age given, 1006 Booker T St., Ville Platte, was charged February 2, with ignored stop sign, failure to signal, improper lane use and DWI. No bond information was available.
